International fashion designer finds the perfect blend in Caloundra

A block back from Caloundra’s Bulcock Beach is a world away from the streets of Paris, but on a recent trip Parisienne and Australian native Catherine Baba experienced relaxation and beachside luxuries that are the essence of Caloundra.

Catherine Baba, acclaimed stylist, costume designer, fashion designer and one of the best dressed women in Paris with an eclectic style like no other knows a thing or two about luxury and maintaining a flawless appearance. Ms Baba was recently in the country, having grown up on the suburbs of Sydney before she made the move to the fashion capital of the world to pursue a career as a stylist and fashion designer 20 years ago.

Having graced the pages of Vogue and worked for some of the most elite couture houses in Paris including Chanel, Balmain and Givenchy she’s certainly come along way from the suburbs of Sydney where she grew up.

Her recent trip to Australia led to Blend Hair & Spa, a Caloundra favourite located in the Rumba Beach Resort complex and one of only few beauty salon that stocks Algologie, a skin care that Ms Baba is a devout user and for good reason.

“I am highly impressed with the state of the art of the beauty machines used during my treatment and of course the wonderful products and divine services’ said Ms Baba. Blend Hair & Spa retains youthful skin with plenty of effective skin treatments, which are created using all naturally, based products.

And of course, what would be Ms Baba’s go to beauty product? “My favourite is Tinted 50+ Fleur de Mer Sunscreen from the Algologie range” she said.

Jeanette and Sarah, owners of Blend Hair and Spa said the experience was a once in a life time opportunity to showcase the high quality services of Blend Hair and Spa, and that beauty and hair treatments is not just for exclusive clients.

“It’s a real honour for the Blend team to provide our standard of services to an internationally recognised icon and justifies the quality of our products as being top class” Jeanette said.

“It felt great that our treatments also measured to the international standards and we continue to work to a high standard for all of our clients” she said.

There’s certainly a high demand for A list quality services for women and even men, and it’s an opportunity that Blend has embraced with beauty and skin treatments from high quality products to innovative technologies that are accessible for clients with their treatments at the salon. Catherine Baba will feature in the May edition of Vogue Australia this year.
